Amelia HS Student Section was honored today as a recepient of the OHSAA Golden Megaphone Award for a great student section at sporting events. Congratulations!
Norwood Senior Peyton Williams has committed to Mount Saint Joe to play Football in the Fall. Peyton was a 3-year Varsity starter for Norwood when they won two league championships and two years in the State playoffs. Peyton was also named Skyline Crosstown "Player of The Game" during the season and a SBAAC 2nd Team All-League athlete. Good Luck to Peyton!
The Division III and IV AP All-Ohio girls' basketball teams were announced Tuesday and Felicity's Ashley Moore was selected 1st team and also "Player of the Year" in Division IV. Ashley, a junior, averaged 19.3 points per game and was the only local area representative named to either the first or second team in Division IV. The SBAAC and Felicity is very proud of her accomplishments! Click here to view the all-star lists. Ashley was also named National Division "Player of the Year" for the SBAAC.
The results of the OHSAA State Wrestling Tournament - Division II - Brandon Lucas, Western Brown, finished 5th at 106 weight class and Nick Jackson, Norwood, finished 7th at 195 weight class. In Division III - Aric Peters, Bethel, finished 4th at 120 weight class. Congratulations to all the athletes who competed in the State Wrestling Tournament and represented the SBAAC and their home school!
Both Felicity Lady Cardinals and Georgetown G-Men ended their post season run at the OHSAA State Tournament. The SBAAC is proud of your accomplishments this year and the great way you have represented our league and your schools.

Congratulations to Brandon Lucas, Western Brown (106 weight class) and Nick Jackson, Norwood (195 weight class) who won the District Division II Titles in their weight class and have advanced to the OHSAA State Tournament coming up next weekend. Also advancing to the OHSAA State Tournament in Division II are Malachi Marlow, Western Brown (145 weight class) and Darnay Foley, Batavia (220 weight class).
In Division III Wrestling, advancing to the OHSAA State Tournament are Aric Peters, Bethel (120 weight class) and Jeffrey Botts, Bethel (182 weight class).Congratulations to these wrestlers and the best of luck!
Congratulations to the Felicity Lady Cardinals, beating Dayton Miami Valley 74 - 53, to win the Tipp City 1 District Finals and advance to the Girls Basketball Regionals in the OHSAA Division IV. The Lady Cardinals will play on Wednesday, March 11th at Tippecanoe HS vs Marion Local. Game time is 7PM. Good luck and we wish you the best!

Congratulations to New Richmond Girls Cross Country Team who won the Division II Southwest District Meet in post-season competition. Claire Burns finished first and Savannah Rhodes, Blanchester finished second in this race. In the Boys Division II Southwest District - Bobby Bingham and Luke Glenn, New Richmond, finished 4th and 11th, and Gage Egner and Eric Hinkle, Blanchester, finished 8th and 12th in their races. The SBAAC will be hosting the 1st Annual Leadership Conference at Norwood HS on Tuesday, November 18th. The keynote speaker for the conference will be Ted Wiese, known as one of America's best youth leadership development speakers. The Challenge Leadership Program is an interactive opportunity for student leaders and emerging leaders to learn from one another and be inspired and motivated to pursue excellence. Each League school will send 6 student-athletes and a coach to the one day conference. Sponsors for the one day event are Coca-Cola and Chick-fil-A, who will provide lunch and refreshments for the day.
Congratulations to the following individual and team winners in the Southern Buckeye League Golf Tournament:
American Division - Team Champion - New Richmond 997 (Four 9-hole matches and 18-hole tournament), "Golfer of the Year" - Chris Mazzaro, Senior, New Richmond 226. Chris was also named "Medalist for the 18-hole Tournament with a score of 72 and New Richmond was the Team Champion for the 18-hole tournament with a team total 327. "Coach of the Year" was Mr. Dave Bickett, Western Brown.
National Division - Team Champion - Bethel 1047 (same number of league matches and 18-hole tournament), "Golfer of the Year" - Mitchell McElfresh, Junior, Bethel 230. "Coach of the Year" was Mr. Brett Harris, Bethel.

Girls Tennis season is coming to a close quickly and the link for standings of that sport will be posted after the last match for league titles. If the weather cooperates, it should be sometime next week.
